Educated in Music at Wayne State University and trained under Detroit studio legends Steve King, Al Sutton, and Eric Hoegemeyer, “Studio” Steve Lehane has quickly gained a reputation as one of the Mid-West’s most in-demand Engineer/Producer/Mixers. Over the past decade, Steve has worked on projects with Alice Cooper, Uncle Kracker, Mark Foster (Foster The People), Don Was, Dennis Coffey, Gregg Alexander (New Radicals), The Black Dahlia Murder, Sammy Boller, Jessica Hernandez and the Deltas, Jackamo and many others.
In addition to studio work, Steve plays in Detroit rock bands Pharaohs and Gold Crayon and is the touring bassist for Blues artist Joanne Shaw Taylor, touring all over the US and Europe. Steve’s experience as a musician proves to be a great asset in the studio, creating an environment for artists to be their best, most authentic self.
